About / History
Started in 1997 as the Korn (Fantasy Football) League, the name was changed at the start of 1999 due to the growing popularity of the band by the same name. While we came first, who was going to believe us? SO, the name was changed to Lord Stanley's Fantasy Football League. That happened to be on the Commissioner's mind after winning "The Cup" that year in Big D.
The league was originally started as a 12-team and three (3) division format and has remained that way to current day.
Out of the original 12-teams that started out back in 1997, we are down to only FOUR (4) teams that have been around for all 22 years now!
